Just a quick tickle tonight, because I’m dead beat. A Knight in Shining Kevlar officially hit 60,000 words yesterday, but there’s still a bunch to go in it, so I’m changing the goal on the progress bar to 70,000. I don’t doubt I’ll make either, sigh. On the bright side, I’m about a week ahead of schedule. That makes for a happy Kitty, because, while Kitty likes deadlines, she doesn’t like them breathing fire down her neck.

It toasts her skimpies. 😀

Anyway, here’s a short exerpt from Nuts About You, a slightly ridiculous novellette about Nathan the squirrel shifter as he finds true love. And nuts. In the shower.

There it went, the sponge travelling over all the places where Nathan would like to run his tongue. Vince started on his neck, smooth up and down movements covering his skin with a rich lather. The bubbles slid down his body, clinging in a way that made Nathan irrationally jealous of them. The sponge followed the bubbles down, making circles over the sleek chest, then crisscrossing back and forth over the flat stomach and past his bellybutton, with its narrow trail of hair leading down to—OH MY WALNUTS!

Yes, I have a twisted sense of humour.
